Morand eTechnology

Morand eTechnology is an ultra-fast rechargeable battery pack that has the potential to revolutionise mobility – recharging city cars in 72 seconds, for example. eTechnology uses innovative hybrid ultracapacitors (HUC) cells from Sech SA in combination with advanced controllers to recharge and discharge rapidly.

More than 50,000 cycles

Morand eTechnology is able to charge and discharge extremely quickly with much greater reliability than other power storage systems. It is ideal for applications that require fast 5-minute charges semi-frequently. While typical chemical batteries may have an expected lifetime of 3,000-5,000 cycles, the cells in our energy packs can easily complete more than 50,000 cycles at a C-rating of 50.

Independently tested

To validate our claims, we had Morand eTechnology independently tested by Geo Technology. It demonstrated the ability of eTechnology to recharge in less than 2 minutes (3 modules of 400V and 2.4 kWh each) at up to 900A / 360 kW.

Fire protection

Morand eTechnology, has also created a solution to protect electric vehicle packs against fire. The solution found prevents any propagation of fire outside the vehicle permanently. Click to read more about SF Security Fire Protection System.
